Hinge’s DATE Report

The Opportunity:

As the dating app designed to be deleted™️, Hinge’s pioneering team of Ph.D researchers and dating experts conducted surveys with more than 14,000 Hinge users in the LQBTQIA+ community. The results were a treasure-trove of insights that needed to be shared with the world. “Beyond the Talking Stage” was the first in a series of DATE reports (Data, Advice, Trends, and Expertise), which followed three major communication milestones: The First Time, The First Date, and the First Fight. Through data, tough love from Moe Ari Brown, LMFT, Hinge’s Love and Connection Expert, and stories from members of the community, this particular report served as a the penultimate resource for overcoming queer dating pain points. My role was to craft an overarching narrative and balance data with brand. You can read the full report here.

The How:

We crafted a compelling “why” behind the numbers, created a memorable, timeless name, and supplied the press with the tools, data, and language needed to write with dignity as they spread this news like wildfire.
